The
technology and science of large format printing has changed dramatically
over the years.
Traditionally,
there have been two inks available on the market - dye and pigment.
Dye-based inks have been very bright but are not suitable for outdoor
or light-sensitive applications due to quick fading. Pigmented inks,
while longer-lasting, did not have the wide color space discriminating
clients desired.
Now the bar has been raised.
Our printers provide vivid colors, an exceptional
color gamut, and stability that far surpasses previous generations
of ink. Our new 64inch Epson 11880 offers incredibly sharp text and line art
and extremely fine blends and photographic transitions. Nine channels
of color, incorporating three levels of black and new color pigments,
provide photographic quality and smoother gradations in pastels,
shadows and skin tones.
And unlike many service bureaus, we never use the "canned" generic profiles that ship with RIPs and printers; we take the time and expense to custom match and tune each of our medias and inksets with a color spectrophotometer and special ICC profile-creating software. We don't just load your files and hit the "print" button.
100% digital large format printing is a cost-effective solution for today's
visual communication needs. No color separations are needed, and we can
print your projects in any quantity. And if your projects are sensitive
or confidential, at the Image Cafe they'll stay that way--we can schedule
printing time after business hours when we are closed to the public.
From point of purchase displays to courtroom graphics, trade show exhibits to
theater kiosks, Santa Barbara Image Cafe can print your work up to 60 inches
by any length.
Our Epson, HP, and Roland prints feature a longevity reported by Wilhelm Imaging
Research in excess of 100 years.
